17.06.2020
We are thrilled to announce the return of Insight Sessions! We have run Sessions over the past few years as a way to connect people who are interested in making organisations happier, more engaged and more productive places to work.

The last few months have been incredibly challenging for us all, and we think it’s time now to bring the South Wales HR Community together. We have been really interested to hear how different organisations, leaders and employees have approached the huge changes that have happened over the past few months. Some have relished the change, others can’t wait to get back to normal, others are concerned about the future and what the “new normal” will look like.
As psychologists, we know that connection with each other is hugely important to our wellbeing. We also know that hearing others’ experiences can help us to develop new ideas and also reassure us on our own approach, particularly at this time when many of us have been working in a more isolated way than usual.
Over time, we plan to develop Sessions focused on particular areas that the HR Community are interested in. These will be more intimate and will allow discussion and networking. One of our favourite outcomes from the previous Sessions has been where we’ve been able to connect people with similar challenges who can support each other beyond the session.
We want the Sessions to be a space where we can connect with each other, share what we’ve learnt and how we can build great organisations of the future.
This first event will be a Panel Q&A on Zoom. It will take place on 9th July at 6.30pm, bring your own drink and nibbles!
The panel includes people who are leading HR in organisations as well as those who work across a wide range of different organisations. This Session will allow us to cover a whole range of issues that have come up as a result of the COVID-19 crisis… working from home, wellbeing, management and leadership challenges, maintaining a strong culture and engagement, supporting furloughed workers…
We would love to hear from you… what questions and challenges do you have? We will select a representation of questions to ask the panel who are:
Zoe Baker, HR Director, Nations and Regions, BBC
Neil Lewis, Deputy Director of People, Public Health Wales
Gethin Nadin, Employee Engagement expert
Louise Price, Head of Employment Law, Hugh James
