Graduate Assessment Centres
Graduate assessment requires a different approach to routine assessment: often candidates have limited work experience to assess, they may be applying for multiple graduate schemes and there can be a fierce battle for the best talent. Traditional graduate assessment can focus on confidence over potential, using exercises where the loudest score best and reflectors are disadvantaged.
Our graduate assessment centres focus on candidate potential as well as current skill, using a blend of psychometric assessment with interactive activities. We use the latest research to develop exercises that enable candidates from all backgrounds to perform at their best.

Assessment design
We work with internal recruitment teams, managers and existing graduates to develop clear and measurable assessment criteria. We work in partnership to design exercises that are fair and validated as well as engaging, realistic and provide candidates with the opportunity to demonstrate their potential. Activities can include psychometric assessment, panel or more informal interviews, meeting with current graduates, group exercises, roleplays, presentations and information analysis activities.
Assessor training
We ensure that all managers taking on assessor roles are trained in best-practice assessment techniques including bias awareness and behavioural assessment. This supports a process underpinned by fairness and consistency.
Assessment centres
Our assessment team has run hundreds of assessments meaning we know all the pitfalls – and how to avoid them! Our Assessment Centre Manager runs the whole process from venue booking, candidate and assessor communication, and online platform management, to refreshments and logistics. This means you can focus on spending time with candidates, leaving the admin and organisation to us.
Candidate feedback
At the end of the assessment process, we provide you with a list of recommended candidates and a summary of their performance. We can also provide feedback to candidates to support their ongoing development, whether they are successful or not, ensuring everyone taking part leaves having had a positive experience.
