CIPD Wales Awards Announcement

It’s an exciting time, here at Insight HRC. We have some super innovative projects underway and we have been shortlisted for two CIPD Wales awards:
Best HR/L&D Consultancy (with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water)
Since 2015 Insight have supported senior leadership teams at Dwr Cymru Welsh Water to improve their performance, build a more resilient culture and develop leadership skills as individuals and as teams. Working collaboratively with the DCWW team a ‘Live’ 360 feedback process was designed to sit alongside the Resilience at Work tool, grounded in psychology and creating a shared language for individual leaders. With a focus on team development and creating an environment of positive mutual support, this holistic approach to understanding and utilising personal, interpersonal and other resources built resilience and influenced organisational culture. Programme results included tangible individual and team growth, and increased company performance.
The success of this project is one example of the partnership approach we adopt at Insight with each of our clients, creating people solutions that inspire, engage and deliver impact.
Outstanding Contribution – Michael Baker
Michael has been a key member of the Insight team for over 15 years and he has supported the development of hundreds of leaders across Wales and the UK. Michael’s programmes are grounded in the very best evidence-based research but his personal style is the most effective part of his success. He engages personally with every participant and builds an atmosphere of support, honesty and growth. It would be true to say that he has influenced development programmes and leaders far beyond the workshops he has personally led.
Since 2012, Michael has been delivering the Aspiring Headteacher Development Programme for RCT County Borough Council which he has described as the ‘joy of his life’. There probably isn’t a school in RCT in which he hasn’t had a positive impact and he should be very proud of the role he has had in improving leadership in the schools of South Wales.
