Facilitating strategic change, modernisation and growth

The Objective

Tai Esgyn provides a range of support and accommodation services to people with mental health problems to promote independent living within the community. Facing significant changes to the market in which it operated, Tai Esgyn commissioned Insight to work with its Trustees and Senior Managers to construct a strategic business plan and to begin a process of cultural change.

The Solution

The process began by consulting carefully with the organisation to understand what needed to change and why. In light of this we developed a very action-orientated two-day strategic planning event.

During the event, Trustees and Senior Managers worked with our facilitator to redefine the mission of the organisation and establish the strategic focal points for change and development. The team continued its work by building action plans, with clear timelines and accountabilities to ensure the organisation transformed itself at the right pace.

Subsequently, Insight was commissioned by Tai Esgyn to work with Senior Managers to secure staff buy-in and contribution to the new direction. Insight has regularly re-engaged with the Trustees and Senior Managers to evaluate progress, celebrate successes and establish new objectives for growth, performance and organisational development.

Insight is currently working with Tai Esgyn to further enhance the quality and creativity of front-line staff interactions with its clients.

The Results

Tai Esgyn has used the support from Insight to kick-start and maintain significant and hugely successful cultural change. The organisation has experienced tremendous growth and is now firmly established as a provider of market-leading advice and flexible services to its clients.

Tai Esgyn has re-orientated itself to its changing market-place, retained its core values and is reaping the benefits of a flexible and aspirational culture.
